From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
Red Cross Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a branch of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.[1] It was founded in 2000. It has its headquarters in Sarajevo.
The society has 226,760 volunteers and 9 employees.[2]
The United States alleged that Mohammed Nechle's employment by the Bosnian Red Crescent tied him to terrorism.[3] During his Combatant Status Review Tribunal Nechle was presented with a copy of the unclassified portion of his dossier. It contained four allegations, including: "Detainee is a former employee of the Red Crescent Society and attended meetings in Sarajevo for Algerians working for non-government organizations in Bosnia."
