The Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (Abbreviation: MCCY; Malay: Kementerian Kebudayaan, Masyarakat dan Belia; Chinese: 文化、社区及青年部 ; Tamil: கலாசார, சமூக, இளையர்துறை அமைச்சு) is a ministry of the Government of Singapore tasked, from the government's point of view, to "inspire Singaporeans through the arts and sports, strengthen community bonds, and promote volunteerism and philanthropy" in Singapore.

On 31 July 2012, it was announced that Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) would be restructured to become the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). Several portfolios, such as Youth Development and Sports has been shifted to MCCY on 1 November 2012.

Agenda and goals

MCYS pursues social engineering campaigns of varying effectiveness. It also tries to inspiring the Singapore Spirit, making Singapore home through the arts, heritage, sports, giving, and community and youth engagement,

MCCY aims to create an environment where Singaporen pursue their aspirations for fulfilling lives, becoming a gracious society built on mutual appreciation and trust, as well as having a strong sense of belonging to Singapore. [2][3]
