Lowriders is an upcoming 2016 American drama film directed by Ricardo de Montreuil and written by Joshua Beirne-Golden, Cheo Hodari Coker, Elgin James and Justin Tipping. The film stars Melissa Benoist, Eva Longoria, Theo Rossi, Tony Revolori, Demián Bichir, Cress Williams, Yvette Monreal, and Gabriel Chavarria. Filming began on May 27, 2015 in Los Angeles.

Plot

A contemporary tale about a teen whose loyalties are tested when an annual lowrider event forces him to choose between his father and his criminal uncle.

Cast

Production

Melissa Benoist was added to the cast of the film on May 21, 2015, she would play Lorelai, previously Lily Collins and Nicola Peltz were in talks to play the role.[1] Gabriel Chavarria was set on June 1, 2015 to play Danny in the film.[2]

Filming

Principal photography on the film began in Los Angeles on May 27, 2015.[3] Filming was taking place in a cafe on June 4, 2015 in East Los Angeles.[4]
