Overview
Jacobs Engineering was founded in 1947 by Dr Joseph J Jacobs. The current CEO is Mr. Steven J. Demetriou.[4] The previous President and CEO was Craig L. Martin from 2006 until 2014.[5]
The company is publicly traded as a Fortune 500 company,[6] and as of 2014 had 53,500 employees globally.[7] Jacobs has around 200 offices in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Africa, and Asia.[7] In 2014 it was on the Forbes list of America's 100 Most Trustworthy Companies.[8]
The company is structured around four lines of business: Petroleum & Chemicals; Buildings & Infrastructure; Aerospace & Technology; and Industrial. [9]
