Island Lake South is a summer village in Alberta, Canada. It is located on the southern shore of Island Lake, along Highway 2, northwest of Athabasca.
Demographics
In the 2011 Census, the Summer Village of Island Lake South had a population of 72 living in 34 of its 65 total dwellings, a -31.4% change from its 2006 population of 105. With a land area of 0.63 km2 (0.24 sq mi), it had a population density of 114.3/km2 (296.0/sq mi) in 2011.[2]
In 2006, Island Lake South had a population of 105 living in 76 dwellings, a 47.9% increase from 2001. The summer village has a land area of 0.63 km2 (0.24 sq mi) and a population density of 166.7/km2 (432/sq mi).[3]
