Instart Logic is a cloud services company primarily focused on Web site and application speed and performance. The company is headquartered in Palo Alto, California.[5] Instart Logic is a direct competitor to Akamai Technologies.[6][7]
History
The company was founded out of frustration with the slow speed of downloading and updating video games.[8] It can be deployed in as few as fifteen minutes.[9]
In the fall of 2014, the company started a $100 million contract buyout program for Akamai customers.[10][11][12]
Acquisitions
In February 2016, Instart Logic acquired Kwicr,[13][14][15] a leader in mobile application acceleration for Apple and Android platforms, for an undisclosed amount to strengthen its mobile application delivery and analytics capabilities.
Funding
Instart Logic has received 140 million USD in 5 rounds of funding from 10 investors:
- Series A: In February 2012 Instart Logic received 9 million USD as first round of funding
- Series B: In April 2013 Instart Logic received 17 million USD
- Series C: In May 2014 Instart Logic received 26 million USD

Some of their other investors are Greylock Partners, Sutter Hill Ventures[16] and Wing Venture Capital.
Notable clients include Staples, the TUI Group, Pizza Hut, Washington Post, One Kings Lane, and Dollar Shave Club.[21][22]
Instart Logic has been ranked by Business Insider as No. 1 among the 17 best startups to work for in America[23]
Technology
The technology built by Instart Logic claims to resolve emerging application delivery challenges in mobile, multi-device and multi-cloud environments. With a foundation of a traditional content delivery network, the company has built a cloud-client[24][25][26] platform that helps deliver websites faster and more securely.
The Instart Logic service is in between an origin server and end client browsers. It is deployed like a traditional CDN, through DNS changes. The technology of the service analyzes web pages from an origin server and prioritizes which parts of the page (HTML / JavaScript / Images) are broken into small fragments and sent to end devices. The company claims this software-defined application delivery approach improves web page load times.
Instart Logic provides a Completely Free Starter Edition,[27] that includes a content delivery network and intelligent, machine-learning based image optimizations.
