Summary
This image depicts the various social orders a social group may demonstrate: In an Egalitarian society, all members of a social group are equivalent in rank. In a linear hierarchy, each member is assigned a rank relative to one another, creating a linear distribution of power. In a despotic hierarchy, one member is assigned dominance while all others are subordinate.
