Summary
<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotch_marine_boiler" class="extiw" title="en:Scotch marine boiler">Scotch marine boiler</a> at the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Industrial_Museum" class="extiw" title="en:Bristol Industrial Museum">Bristol Industrial Museum</a>. This was the boiler from the steam tug <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayflower_steam_tug_1861" class="extiw" title="en:Mayflower steam tug 1861">Mayflower</a>, removed after the closure of the museum.
In use the two furnaces were coal burning, with a smokebox covering the visible tubeplate and leading up into the ship's funnel. Inside the boiler are a pair of combustion chambers, connecting the rear of each furnace to a group of tubes.
Approx 9' diameter.
