Summary

This fresco, along with <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Sandro_Botticelli_027.jpg" title="File:Sandro Botticelli 027.jpg">RF 321</a> was discovered at <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Villa_Lemmi" title="Category:Villa Lemmi">Villa Lemmi</a>, near Florence in 1873. They could have been commisssionned for the marriage of Nanna di Niccolò Tornabuoni and Matteo di Andrea Albizzi. The young man on the painting, who may be the groom, is introduced to the Seven liberal arts by Venus (or Minerva)<a href="#cite_note-1">[1]</a>.
