Summary

The German frigate Niedersachsen (F208), the U.S. Navy submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS-39), the Turkish frigate TCG Gediz (F495), and the Spanish frigate Alvaro De Bazan (F101) steam together through the Atlantic Ocean while participating in exercise "Majestic Eagle 2004". "Majestic Eagle" was a multinational exercise being conducted off the coast of Morocco. The exercise demonstrated the combined force capabilities and quick response times of the participating naval, air, undersea and surface warfare groups. Countries involved in the NATO led exercise included the United Kingdom, Germany, Morocco, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey.
