File:Formula One (1985 videogame) race.gif
Summary
This animated gif was created by myself from a recording of the videogame running on an emulator. Although it's from 1985, I think the game itself is not free.

Article | |
Portion used |
The animation comprises 43 frames (4.3 seconds) from an infinite number that can be generated by the video game, and hence insignificant. |
Low resolution? |
Yes, this animation is composed by a number of frames at a resolution of 256x192 pixels each (0.05 Megapixels) and 4bit color, which although is the ZX Spectrum's original resolution, it is considered a very low resolution by nowadays standards. |
Purpose of use |
To illustrate one of the most important parts of the video game, which is the race itself. The races unfold lap by lap from a side view perspective on the starting lane, and a number of visual details can be seen like the speed that the cars pass by in each lap and the time difference between them. |
Replaceable? |
Unless the game is released for free someday, I guess we have no way to have a free equivalent ingame view like this. |
Licensing
