Burnt Stub Mansion

The mansion at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, today called Burnt Stub was built in 1348 in Chessington. In the English Civil War it became a royalist stronghold, later being razed by Oliver Cromwell's Parliamentary forces giving it its modern name.[2]

Hocus Pocus Hall description

Hocus Pocus Hall is a 4-D walk though attraction that leads throughout the mansion, with no age restriction. Theming includes animatronics such as a wizard and goblins,[1] as well as rotating hallways and 3D paintings, for which 3-D glasses can be worn.[3]

The Mystery of Hocus Pocus Hall

During the resort's halloween event - Chessington Howl'o'ween, the attraction is tuned into The Mystery of Hocus Pocus Hall, a walkthrough and maze about a missing explorer.[4] All the theming is ripped out and replaced with scenes from around the world. The Mansion is themed to Stub Mansion, the home of the explore Sir Arthur Percival Stubbs, the resort's mascot.
