History
ATLANTIC-ACM was founded in 1991 by Harvard-educated strategist, Dr. Judy Reed.[2] In 1997, Dr. Judy Reed Smith was listed by PHONE+ magazine as one of the industry's 25 most influential people, which cited the firm's groundbreaking research that has been published in various media outlets ranging from industry trade publications to the Wall Street Journal.[3] In 2000, PHONE+ magazine identified Dr. Judy Reed Smith as a telecom industry mastermind and the firm as an industry braintrust.[4] In 2002, Dr. Judy Reed Smith became the first supplier member appointed to the board of directors for the Association of Communications Enterprises (ASCENT), which is now the Competitive Telecommunications Association (COMPTEL).[5] ATLANTIC-ACM covers all facets of the telecom and technology ecosystem with a specialization in carrier services, dark fiber, OSS/BSS software, infrastructure, colocation, and enterprise services. The firm closely tracks revenues for 26 of the largest U.S. carriers across 350 markets. ATLANIC-ACM regularly leverages its industry access, foundational data, and segment specific knowledge when providing advisory services for strategic development, business optimization, and investment diligence. In 2014, the firm was named Best Metro Advisor firm by Capacity Magazine, citing its “ability to drive client success by identifying and sizing opportunities at the macro level (e.g., markets and segments) as well as micro-level tactics (product and service opportunities) within those markets.”
