Āpihai Te Kawau (?–1869) was a notable New Zealand tribal leader. Of Māori descent, he identified with the Ngati Whatua iwi.[1]
On 20 March 1840 in the Manukau peninsula area, Te Kawau signed the Treaty of Waitangi.[2]
