Ambalaseri is a village in Tuticorin District in the southern region of Tamil Nadu, India.[1] The village has a population of roughly 1500 people. Two small lakes are near the village; one is on the southern side and another on the northern side of the village. Rice, dal, peanuts and bananas are the main agricultural products. St. Jebastin church is located in the centre of the village. The village is said to be categorized into two divisions. In the southern part of the village there are a majority of Christians. There are a total of 6 temples around village.

The Acharis(Carpenters, Black Smith, Gold Smith),Devar and Saiva Pillais resides in the northern area of this village. The village have many interesting stories and histories. There is a Post Office in Ambalaseri. The village comes under kattarimangalam Panchayat Union, sattankulam taluk. The nearest town is Nazareth and Sattan Kulam. Nazareth is just located in a 7.5 km distance from Ambalaseri. Sattan Kulam is just located in a 9 km distance from Ambalaseri. The majority of transport is through private buses that arrives every 20 minutes. There are two primary schools in Ambalaseri where children could be educated up to 5th standard. The literacy level in this village is slowly emerging. The famous fruit here is called 'Nongu' and given by Palm tree. The juice extract from the palm tree is a good source of health which is equivalent to the coconut water. Most people from this village are currently residing at different cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and pursuing their occupation.
