New Urban Communities Authority(in Arabic : هيئة المجتمعات العمرانية الجديدة ) is an Egyptian authority affiliated to Ministry of Housing
Its headquarter are in Zayid City ( west of Greater Cairo)
History
New Urban Communities Authority was established according to law .59/1979 [1]
New Communities
- First Generation cities (8 cities ) 1977- 1982 :
10th of Ramadan - New Borg El Arab -15 May - New Damietta - 6th of October –New Salhiya- Sadat – Tourist village
- Second Generation cities (9 cities ) 1982- 2000 :
New Cairo - Sheikh Zaied- Badr – Obour – New Bany Sweif – New Minya-New Nubaryia – Alshrouk- Suez Gulf
- Third Generation cities (7 cities ) 2000- now :
New Assuit – New Tiba – New Sohag – New Aswan – New Kena-New Fayoum – New Akhmeim
