Summary

A recreation of the little red farmhouse which Nathaniel Hawthorne and his family rented in Lenox, Massachusetts. Hawthorne lived here while writing The House of the Seven Gables, among other works. He also met <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Herman_Melville" title="Category:Herman Melville">Herman Melville</a> during his time here. The recreated home is located just behind the Tanglewood Performing Arts Center.
