Banner Mania was a banner making program for IBM PC compatible computers, enabling the user to create banners, posters, signs and logos.[1]
It was released by Brøderbund in 1989[2] and was developed for Pixellite Group by Presage Software Development and written by Christopher Schardt and Dane Bigham.[3]
It allowed the user to create and print multi-page banners, with 19 different fonts[4] and effects in 16 colors.[5]
The PC version supported MDA, CGA, Hercules, TGA, EGA and VGA graphic modes. Basic requirements were a 8088 based computer with 580k of free conventional memory running MS-DOS 2.0 or PC DOS 2.1. A license cost $35 in 1991.[4] A Mac version was announced in 1990, selling for $59.95.[6]
A version for the Apple II also existed.[7] [8]
